The Rags No Riches Foundation

The Foundation is the teaching arm of the house. A planned youth braiding program that puts the craft directly into young hands and treats it as an heirloom, not a hustle. It's part of the Rags No Riches house, built on the same ethos: for us, forever.

Natural hair braiding is not a licensed occupation in Texas. House Bill 2717, signed in 2015, deregulated it entirely. For practicing it and for teaching it. That's what makes a community program like this possible without forcing a traditional braider through a credential that was never about braiding in the first place.

It's gated on the Kitchen reaching stable footing first. One cohort, done properly, before anything scales.
